This book had a profound impact on me and is the reason why I have become so ambitious with my life goals. He is a persuasive and entertaining writer and public speaker, his TED talk is here and as you can see his work is gaining a lot of attention (12 million hits and counting). I would gladly recommend this book to anyone (who is ready) to explore more about positive psychology. The result of that is that they tend to be more successful in whatever they are involved. Shawn proposes that happiness is not the product of success, but that success is the product of happiness. But really, watch it; It almost seems more like stand-up comedy than TED talk. I was happy before, and now I'm happier. And maybe it is. I thought this was an excellent example of the kind of book that doesn't deserve the attacks. I agreed with the author’s theories, some of which I think stretched a bit into occult science, and being another genre of heavy interest to me, more kool points for him. Achor spent 12 years studying what makes people happy at Harvard University. I plan to buy this one and hopefully reference it regularly. If you’re looking for ways to deepen your coaching impact, this book just may be the answer. Shawn’s research on happiness was published in the “Harvard Business Review” and other scientific journals. Having this ratio of interaction will make us be able to produce more and better. I will start with a rather “negative” question: what is wrong with the book “The Happiness Advantage: The Seven Principles of Positive Psychology that Fuel Success and Performance at Work” by Shawn Achor? There have, of late, been a spate of "anti-happiness-books books." But I had to change my mind: this is one of the best books on positive psychology, including the ones written by actual psychologists. And there's no "secret" to it, as many so-called self-help books suggest. The lack of positive interactions is a very strong social habit that is conditioned by culture. Unless you don't want to be happy. We can have success without being happy. Doing this can help rewire your brain to see more possibilities, more insights, and help you see and seize upon opportunity when it arises. I needed to be able to circle, highlight, and bookmark pages for reference. And what happens eventually instead of "work hard, play hard" it just becomes work 98% of the time and at some point the diminishing returns from stress start kicking in. This  will be good not only for our happiness and success  but to increase the general wellbeing of the ones that surround us. The data shows that “happy workers have higher levels of productivity, produce higher sales, perform better in leadership positions, and receive higher performance ratings and higher pay. But, wow, this one is fantastic and has literally changed my life habits for the better. And maybe it is. The author gives various examples,  throughout the whole book. He is clearly not trying. My goodness. Not only they will be prone to work more and better, as they will be more innovative and creative. Achor spent 12 years studying what makes people happy at Harvard University. It's a state of mind—one that does come more naturally to some than others—but it's also a muscle that can be exercised. But really, watch it; It almost seems more like stand-up comedy than TED talk.
